Hello, I'm Aaron Kershaw
My professional experiences are as diverse as my writing.
From mastering the art of Towing (Marine Corps driver) and Photography (Learned in Middle School) to hosting/producing a weekly Radio Program (Learned in High School). Don't get me started on learning the Apple II in 1982 (Talented and Gifted Program).. old.. yep. But, I Built This Site.
My career has been rooted in self learning, resilience, problem-solving, and forging meaningful connections with people.
I started BuildingBlocs Literacy because I believe education is the foundation for growth, not just academically, but in life.
I saw a gap in accessible, practical resources that teach essential skills like emotional intelligence, financial literacy, and personal growth.

US Marine Corps
During my time with the 24 MEU we trained with many units. These are members of the French Foreign Legion, I have one of their Berets somewhere.
My goal is to break down barriers to learning, create tools that empower people from all walks of life, and inspire confidence through knowledge. By sharing what I’ve learned through my varied career and life experiences, I hope to help others build stronger, more resilient futures.

With a proven track record at Ameriprise Financial Services, Aaron directly contributed to the management of $600 million in Assets Under Management (AUM).

Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, with a focus on Economics & Finances, from Manhattanville University, graduating in January 2024. His education was funded through the VA Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Program, reflecting his commitment to leveraging every opportunity provided by the taxpayers' support.
His military service culminated in an honorable discharge due to service-connected disabilities, underscoring his resilience and dedication to growth. Aaron's philosophy of giving back is deeply influenced by this experience. "What better way to repay than by paying it forward," he often remarks, signaling his focus on using his education to benefit others.
